ASTROLOGY - what is it all about ?

Astrology is one of the oldest sciences known to man with a fascinating history going back many thousands of years to the very dawn of civilization.

The movements of the planets and their effects on our daily lives have  been recorded in just about every civilization from the nomadic tribes of Africa to the highly sophisticated cultures of Babylon and ancient Egypt.

In fact the ancient Egyptians had their very own goddess of astrology, Het-Hert ( also known as 'Hathor' ) and one of the oldest depictions of the zodiac can be found on the ceiling of Het-Hert's temple at Dendara ( see below ).

The ancients recorded the movements of the sun, moon and planets and found a connection between the movements of the celestial bodies in the sky and what was occurring here on earth. Astrology thus became the science of observing and recording the movements of the planets and then interpreting how such movements affect us here on earth.
